127: When You Feel Your Relationship With Alcohol Could Be Problematic (My Story) - Solo Episode

RachelKombucha-7-3.jpg

I’ve been consuming alcohol socially and casually since my late teens, but it wasn’t until the pandemic hit in March 2020 when I started to realize I was using alcohol more as a crutch or coping mechanism. I would look forward to it as a way to break up my workday from the rest of my day. I became over-reliant on it and truthfully, felt like I needed it.

Since then, I’ve started to question my relationship with alcohol and why I felt like I needed it: was it filling a void for me or becoming a source of comfort? Was I ignoring some of my basic needs and turning to alcohol as a way to cope? Maybe these things feel familiar to you or maybe you, too, have been questioning your relationship with alcohol.

If you feel like the glass of wine at the end of the day has become a habit or you turn to alcohol when you’re feeling stressed or emotional, I invite you to explore that with curiosity. Tune in to hear about my journey with alcohol over the past few months and how I see my relationship with it in the future.
