090: When You're Struggling to Accept Your Body in a Thin-Is-Best World - Danielle Catton

The self-love movement has gained momentum in the last few years, but often this movement is tied to a caveat that it’s only accepted if you fit a certain body type and size. Larger, fatter bodies are often excluded from the movement and not represented in the body acceptance/love mindset. You’ve been led to believe that body size is the truest indicator of health and that gaining weight is the worst thing that can happen to you—when in reality, your health is so much more than your body size.

In this episode, Danielle Catton takes us through her journey of body acceptance and self-love in a larger body. You’ll gain tips and tools to help you start embracing your body at any size, regardless of what others or media tell you, and learn that health is determined by so much more than your weight. Danielle also speaks to her experience living with bipolar disorder.
